"Things Will Never Be The Same" (Part One)
The other day I was just chilling and dealing
Doing my thing
Living life, and then I came across this one piece
It sounded so angelic, sounded so deep
I started think about the past; the good, the bad, the ugly
A lot happened and I moved on, but
Some things will never be the same
Without the money, without the fame
Without the cars, without the clothes
Without the hoes, without the game
Without the bros it ain’t the same
Fought my share of foes
Handled my share of woes
Only Lord knows
But it’ll never be the same
Without the money, without the fame
Without the cars, without the clothes
Without the hoes, without the game
Without the bros it ain’t the same
Fought my share of foes
Handled my share of woes
Only Lord knows
But it’ll never be the same
Forget where I’m at in real life
I spaced out, so high up, up in my mind
A long hall, special place with shiny signs
That’s tailor-made and personal with my design
White walls, with golden frames with different years
Inscribed in them are many things and a symbol of tears
There’s marble floors and real diamonds in chandeliers
The brightness varies to symbolize the different tiers
I pulled up, I walked down the lane
I saw sunny days, I saw all the rain
I saw where I begun, I saw how far I came
And then I got reminded some things will never be the same
Some things will never be the same
Without the money, without the fame
Without the cars, without the clothes
Without the hoes, without the game
Without the bros it ain’t the same
Fought my share of foes
Handled my share of woes
Only Lord knows
But it’ll never be the same
Without the money, without the fame
Without the cars, without the clothes
Without the hoes, without the game
Without the bros it ain’t the same
Fought my share of foes
Handled my share of woes
Only Lord knows
But it’ll never be the same
I’m outside looking within
The good ‘ole days, we was out here making different plays
Running and gunning the whole time ‘cuz it was fun and
Ripping and running the streets like it was that sweet
When things was cheap, and it seemed like it came easy
Seemed like it was peasy, seemed like it was breezy
It seemed like it would last for a while, but that ain’t even
The case because it all comes down, I guarantee it
But, I can’t even lie, I really do miss it all
I remember having to ball
I remember taking the falls
I remember going through all those times where I just stalled
I remember getting to walk and to run after I crawled
I remember me and the homeboys jumping all the hurdles
I remember it was lit and getting all of the girls
But things started to change and it came through all these swirls
One after another, now it’s a different world
It was never easy, but I kept my composure
I’m on and I’m grown, and now I’m taking over
I leveled up my game and I’m not the same as I came
But I keep on looking back, some things will never be the same
Without the money, without the fame
Without the bros, without the game
Some things will never be the same
Without the cars, without the clothes
Without the bros, without the hoes
Some things will never be the same
Without the money, without the fame
Without the bros, without the game
Some things will never be the same
Without the cars, without the clothes
Without the bros, without the hoes
Some things will never be the same
