What was the occasion that warranted the occasion?
There was a guest presenter who asked him to stand up, in front of everyone, and inform the people of his goals for the future.
At this point, the young man was 4 or 5 months into his term as Senior Class President and there was an await for what he had to say.
The man was wearing a cream-flavored suit jacket. It was smooth, yet it stood out like his response amongst his peers.
He told them that he sought out to serve his fellow citizens as Mayor, State Governor, National Congressman, and President of the United States.
He mentioned that he sees benefit in wielding power, but is aware that he'll have to shoulder a large burden for the betterment of everyone.
This brought out some oohs and aahs from the audience. Before he could even finish, there were people saying things like, "Oh, there goes the next President!".
He was also wearing a white dress shirt with a gold tie and tie clip. When putting them on in the morning, the President recognized that these pieces represented him to some extent.
Perhaps, in nature, he's plain in regards to what he does on a regular basis. However, the gold represented his flash and ambition that he had deep down inside that he wasn't afraid to vocalize and divulge.
After all, the President did say that he sought out to become President of the U.S at some point. He acknowledged that it would be work getting to that point and fixing the issues affect everyone. However, he was optimistic and eager to be someone willing to help solving problems. He would do whatever he could, regardless if it were to help the immigrants, end discrimination, or give rights to disadvantaged groups.
At this point, he has caught more verbal support there were some among the crowd saying, "That's my President!" and "President White taking charge!".
The President was wearing black dress pants to complement the torso. He thought this was a color of significance for it represented power, discipline, and integrity.
This is where he called out the politicians of the past and the present that gave the title a bad stigma. He talked about how there may have been, and still may be, those in office that are solely there for self-profits. They cared little to none about those they had the privilege of serving and governing.
President White emphasized that he's not one of them and he did in fact care, for the sake of the people as well as his own. He also assured them that, not only would he make efforts to make things better, but he would go to dire extents and lengths to do so.
Even further approval followed with, "That's my President!", "President White taking charge!", and "You tell 'em, Mr. President!"
The last things that President White put on were some Jordans and Superman socks. Like the gold tie and tie clip, they represented flash and confidence within himself.
President White was coming to a close with his response. This is when he reiterated his past points while speaking on his feelings towards the current leaders of the government.
"I'm looking to pursue this vision because, regardless of how the government's doing, there is a need to follow up the past. If they did great, then there is a need to uphold the excellence. If they did bad, then there is a need to raise the standard."
"Preach, President! Preach!" (One of the President's friends shouted).
"Hold up, let me finish this. I'll end it by saying that there's something different coming into the political atmosphere. I'm 18 years old now. President Trump, Speaker Pelosi, Senator Harris, Vice President Biden, the Squad, and everyone else have 17 years and until I get everything I need because I am coming. And when I arrive, I'm putting pen to the paper, I'm making calls and I'm going to make some moves."
After the President made that statement, there was applause and standing ovation for he had captured their beliefs that he would do what must be done for the people.
So, this marked one of the key instances that touches his heart and pushes him on his journey moving forward. Little did anyone know, that regardless of how the government performs between then and the future, he is still on the pursuit.
Lessons/Takeaways
1. I mentioned in earlier posts about sometimes one has the ceiling set so high that it either evokes high praise or high criticism. I may focus on being able to push through the tough pressures, but one must tell the whole story, from one spectrum to another. It's not every time that there's some external thing that will "water down the flames".
